Layer 01 · OSB / plywood · 7/16"–1/2"
Sheathing

Re-decked where needed, fastener pattern checked, edge gaps set. We do not side over rot — we tear it back to good wood first.

Layer 02 · Tyvek HomeWrap · seams taped
House wrap

Wrap goes on shingle-style, lapped from bottom up, every seam taped. Window heads and sills get the wrap folded into the rough opening before flashing.

Layer 03 · Z-flash · kickout · pan
Flashings

Z-flashing over every horizontal joint. Kickout flashings where roof meets wall. Pan flashing under every window. This is what keeps water out — not the siding above it.

Layer 04 · 3/8"–3/4" vertical battens
Furring / rain screen

For Anchorage walls that see real freeze-thaw cycles, we add a furred rain-screen gap on most assemblies. Drains and dries behind the siding instead of trapping moisture against the sheathing.

Siding course

Manufacturer pattern, manufacturer fastener, manufacturer reveal. We don’t shortcut the nailing schedule and we don’t over-drive. The finished plane stays flat across the wall.

Layer 06 · Cellular PVC · paintable caulk
Trim & seal

Window casing, corner boards, frieze and bands all flat and square. Color-matched paintable sealant at every penetration. The last step is what people see.

Principle I.

Tear back to good wood.

No siding goes on rotten sheathing. If the wrap is failing or the OSB is soft, we strip it out and re-deck the wall before a single course goes up.

Principle II.

Flashing is the building.

Z-flash, kickout, pan flashings, head flashings at every penetration. The siding is the face — the flashing is what actually keeps water from entering the home.

Principle III.

Manufacturer pattern, every time.

Hardie nailing schedule. LP fastener spec. Cedar coursing reveal. We don’t shortcut the nailing pattern or over-drive the fasteners — and we don’t void the warranty.

General liability + worker’s comp

Commercial general liability coverage in force, with worker’s compensation for the install crew. Certificates available on request before the job starts.

James Hardie Elite install training. LP SmartSide Pro Installer. Tyvek Certified Installer. We follow manufacturer spec on every wall — fastener, reveal, flashings.

Based on Potter Heights Drive. The crew lives here, drives here, and stands behind every wall in this town. The phone gets answered locally.
